For completion of research towards two volumes of songs by James Hogg, Songs by the Ettrick Shepherd,1831 and Contributions to Musical Collections and Miscellaneous Songs, edited by Kirsteen McCue, a three-year Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) large research grant (2005-2008) was awarded to Douglas S. Mack (Principal Investigator, Stirling) and Kirsteen McCue (Co-Investigator, Glasgow).
